Again and again in the book of Genesis, God asks His people to follow Him through difficult trials and unpredictable circumstances. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Noah and Joseph each obey solely in faith that God fulfills his promises. This Genesis piece is a metaphor for that faith: following the path of God even when the future is hidden from our sight.

"By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going."
Hebrews 11:8

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, and certain of what we do not see."
Hebrews 11:1
Genesis won a place in the Type Director's Club 40th "World's Best Typography" Annual. It was one of 200 pieces selected out of more than 2,000 submissions.
Only a few prints of Genesis were made. One was auctioned at the "A Brighter Haiti" fundraising auction put on by Light from Light in Atlanta in 2022. Another is on display at Duke Divinity School.
